About

No CS degree. I spent 13 years in the film industry — self-taught editing, VFX, on-set DIT, color grading, post-production supervision — then taught myself Rust, compilers, and distributed systems from first principles.

Now I build deterministic compiler backends that cure LLM hallucinations. S-expressions as the canonical IR, typed validation replacing stochastic generation. The moat in agentic software is the harness, not the model.

Film & Post-Production

2012 – 2024

Editor / Director / Producer. Beijing Film Academy professional development program (non-degree).

Founder of Xiaojin Post Studio (est. 2021, Shanghai). Board member of PCEA (Production Company Establishment Alliance).

An R&D-oriented post house — not just a service shop. Full-stack post-production: DIT/DMT data pipeline, editing, color grading, audio mixing, VFX, 3D, online compositing, and AI-assisted production. Over 100 productions across films, TV dramas, commercials, galas, variety shows, and documentaries.

Built proprietary software tools and iterated production SOPs across departments. Pioneered decentralized production workflows with DIT teams across Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Zibo. Early adopter of AI in film post-production — integrating Stable Diffusion (ComfyUI), GPT, and Runway into delivery pipelines.
